Dr. Richard L. Averitte, Jr. is the founder and CEO of Affiliated Dermatology, which was established in July of 2002. He received his undergraduate degree from The Ohio University and his medical degree from the University of Toledo Medical Center. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at Summa Health System and his Dermatology Residency at Case Western Reserve, University Hospitals of Cleveland. He also served as a Chief Resident.
He has the following academic appointments: Clinical Assistant Professor, Department of Pathology, College of Medicine and Life Sciences at University of Toledo, Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor, Midwestern University and Clinical Assistant Professor, Integrated Cancer Genomics, and TGen.
Dr. Averitte is the founder of the Arizona Skin Cancer Foundation. He is a past board member of the American Liver Foundation, Southwest Division, and Susan G. Komen of Arizona. His professional memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Mohs Surgery.
Prior to his career in medicine, Dr. Averitte had an extensive career in Engineering/Construction and Project Management. His last position was as a Project Engineering Manager at Babcock & Wilcox.
He enjoys spending time with his wife and teenage triplets, and is an avid outdoorsman. He and his family enjoy traveling to interesting places.
Marlie Averitte helped to establish Affiliated Dermatology in 2002. Marlie is the Chief Financial Officer for the company. She received her bachelor of arts in Sociology from Northern Arizona University in 1998. Having a long history in the medical field, Marlie was the Administrative Coordinator for the Internal Medicine Residency Program and Sub-specialty Fellowships at Banner Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center from 1991 through 1998.
Dr. Christine Lin joined Affiliated Dermatology in December, 2005 after practicing in Westlake Village, California for four years. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Massachusets Institute of Technology and her medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Her internship in internal medicine was completed at the UCLA-San Fernando Valley Program in Sylmar, California. Dr. Lin completed her dermatology residency at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland. She served as the chief resident in Dermatology at Case Western Reserve University Hospitals of Cleveland. Dr. Lin is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology. Professional memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Mohs Surgery, and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.
Suzanne Murry joined Affiliated Dermatology in 2005. Her career with the company began with an externship after graduation and certification as a Medical Assistant from Long Technical College. Suzanne furthered her education by receiving her Physician Practice Manager Certification through AAPC and increased her management capabilities by achieving a certificate in Business Management through Rio Salado Community College.
Over the years, Suzanne’s extensive experience in both administrative operations and business management earned her a promotion to Director of Operations at Affiliated Dermatology in 2019. She has also been a key member of the mergers and acquisitions team at Affiliated Dermatology in which she has supervised three dermatology practice acquisitions thus far. Her considerable knowledge of the healthcare and private practice industry earned her a promotion to Chief Operating Officer where she oversees 200+ employees. In addition to these significant achievements, Suzanne is currently continuing her education towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at Phoenix College.
In her free time, Suzanne enjoys spending time with her family, watching her son learn new things, and reading.
Marianne is the Chief Human Resources Officer and oversees the People & Development Team at Affiliated Dermatology®️. As the CHRO, Marianne is responsible for providing strategic guidance and leadership for the full scope of human resources functions as well as developing and pursuing a vision for the company’s human capital management programs.
Since 2009, Marianne has served in many capacities for the organization, including front office receptionist, patient care coordinator, and credentialing administrator before discovering her passion for Human Resources in 2016. She was instrumental in creating and implementing the HR department for the organization and workforce.
Marianne earned a bachelor’s in business management at Grand Canyon University and a Master of Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University. She has obtained her SHRM-CP certification through the Society of Human Resource Management, of which she is also a member. Additionally, Marianne earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification through HRCI.
When she’s not in the office, Marianne can be found camping with her family, spending days at the lake and pool, or reading a good book!
Maricela graduated from Maric College in California as a certified medical assistant in 2006 and began her career in family practice. After having her daughter in 2017, she decided to try something new and joined Affiliated Dermatology as a medical assistant at the Gilbert location. Then she transferred to our Scottsdale location after a few months and was able to strengthen her skills in a fast-paced environment where she became a lead medical assistant. In 2020, Maricela took on the role of operations supervisor where she discovered a passion for leadership. This journey continued in February 2021 when Maricela accepted a Regional Operations Manager role in the East Valley. She truly enjoys making people smile and helping anyone who is in need.
When Maricela is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, crafting, and being outdoors.
