Q: What is your specialty?
A: Medical & Surgical Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery
Q: Where did you go for medical school and residency training?
A: I went to University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. I completed my dermatology training at Case Western Reserve University, University Hospitals of Cleveland.
Q: How would you describe your teaching style?
A: I see myself as a facilitator who guides and enables the learners to build knowledge base and problem solve.
Q: What is the thing you love the most about Dermatology?
A: What I love about dermatology is that the skin provides a readily accessible visual window into the patients’ overall health.
Q: If you had only one bit of advice for IM Residents to know about dermatology what would it be?
A: When encountering a rash, always go back to the basics. By accurately observing and describing the morphology of the rash, you will begin to narrow down the differential diagnoses.
Q: What do you do for fun?
A: What I cherish most is quality family time.
Q: What was the last book you read, movie you saw or concert you attended?
A: Last movie I saw in the theater was Solo: A Star War’s Story.
Q: Where is your favorite restaurant and what do you recommend getting there?
A: Tommy Bahama Restaurant. Ahi Tuna Bowl.
Q: Name one interesting fact about yourself that you think most people would not know about you?
A: Prior to going into medicine, I aspired to become a concert cellist.
Q: If you could go back in time and interview one person and ask them a question who would it be and what would you ask them?
A: I would interview the famous cellist Yo Yo Ma. As a classically trained cellist, what is the key to accomplishing creative successful collaborations with musicians across different cultures and genres?
