Affiliated Dermatology® provides essential healthcare services and is routinely involved in the collection, diagnosis, and treatment of melanoma skin cancer and other medical skin ailments for its patients.

We are open.

As part of a critical infrastructure sector as identified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Affiliated Dermatology® is an essential business as described by the State of Arizona and other government entities. ⁠Your health and safety are always our first priority and for this reason, our offices will remain open.

At AffDerm, we are taking every precaution to ensure that our offices are properly protected and sterilized. In order to safely accommodate our skin cancer and medical patients, our schedules may fluctuate depending on patient and staffing needs. We are committed to the wellness of our patients and our team, so we would like to take a moment to inform you that we are taking the necessary precautions to maintain a safe environment at our practice.

How AffDerm is being proactive.

Our team is regularly washing hands as well as disinfecting high-traffic areas (door handles, rooms, iPads, computers, etc.) multiple times a day.

  • We are checking the temperatures and personal health of our staff daily.
  • We are asking those staff members that are ill or exhibit signs of illness to stay home.
  • We are asking guests who come with their loved ones to an appointment to wait in the lobby while the patient is in the exam room.
  • We are stocking supplies to encourage mindful hand washing and sanitization, in accordance with the CDC’s suggested practices.
  • We are educating employees with CDC provided data and updates.
  • We are actively monitoring all public health recommendations, communications, and statistics from the CDC, the Arizona Department of Health Services, and other leading health organizations.

How you can be proactive.

To prevent the spread of illness and adhere to CDC guidelines, we respectfully ask you to stay home if:

  • You experience fever, cold, or flu-like symptoms.
  • You’ve recently traveled to a high-risk country.
  • You’ve been exposed to someone meeting these criteria.

How we all can be proactive.

Remember to prevent the spread of the COVID-19, please take the following precautions:

  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
  • Use hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid shaking hands if you feel sick or are around others that may be sick.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue and discard it in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect objects and surfaces that are frequently touched.

We’re Open & Here for Your Skin Health

As a medical and surgical practice, Affiliated Dermatology® is open and committed to providing dermatological services. In order to safely accommodate our skin cancer and medical patients, we are taking the necessary precautions to maintain a safe environment at our practice, including checking the temperatures and personal health of our staff and patients daily.

At AffDerm, we are committed to the wellness of our patients and our team, so we would like to take a moment to inform you that we are taking every precaution to ensure that our offices are properly protected and sterilized.

How AffDerm is being proactive.

Our team is regularly washing hands as well as disinfecting high-traffic areas (door handles, rooms, iPads, computers, etc.) multiple times a day.

  • We are requiring face masks/coverings for all patients, staff, and guests upon entering an AffDerm establishment—regardless of vaccination status.
    • Approved face coverings:
      • N95 respirator without valve
      • Surgical mask
      • Homemade mask (double-layer polypropylene and/or cotton)
    • NOT approved face coverings:
      • Cloth coverings: scarf, bandana, or handkerchief
      • All masks with exhalation valves/vents
      • Face shield (unless required due to a medical condition)
      • Knitted masks
      • Neck fleeces
    • We are asking those that arrive to AffDerm without an approved face covering to reschedule their appointments.
  • We are checking the temperatures and personal health of our patients at the door.
    • We are asking those that have a fever of 100.4° F or higher, or exhibit signs of illness, to reschedule their appointments.
  • We are checking the temperatures and personal health of every employee twice daily.
    • We are asking those employees that have a fever of 100.4° F or higher, or exhibit signs of illness, to go home.
  • We are offer appointments for acne, rashes, suspicious moles and lesions as well as prescription refills.
  • We are maintaining 6 feet and practicing social distancing as work duties permit.
  • We are reducing the number of chairs in the lobbies to allow for social distancing among patients as they wait for their appointments.
  • We are asking patients, at select times and offices, to wait in the car or building lobby (if available) after check-in and before they are roomed for their appointment. This policy will be applicable only when necessary and will not be required for every visit.
  • We are asking guests who come with their loved ones to wait in the car while the patient is in the office for the appointment. Any further assistance or instructions for post-op care will be provided by a medical assistant.
    • There will be exceptions for professional caregivers, healthcare agents, and family members who require regular assistance with health care needs.
  • We are stocking supplies to encourage mindful hand washing and sanitization.
  • We are actively monitoring all public health recommendations, communications, and statistics from the CDC, the Arizona Department of Health Services, and other leading health organizations.
